Billings withdrew his name from the upcoming season of IPL

The IPL mini-auction will be held in Kochi, India on December 23. The BCCI will have to be informed on November 15 which players the 10 franchises are retaining. Teams will have to submit a ‘retention list’.
Kolkata Knight Riders’ English wicketkeeper-batsman Sam billings tweeted that Kolkata should not hold him anymore.

Billings pulled out of the upcoming edition of the IPL to focus on the longest format of the game. Billings wrote on Twitter, “I have made a difficult decision not to play in IPL 2023. I want to focus on the longest format of cricket. I want to spend the upcoming summer season with Kent. I would like to thank KKR for giving me this opportunity. There are some amazing people in this franchise. I enjoyed every minute with them. ’

It is to be noted that KKR had included Billings in the team for two crores this year.
