ODI World Cup will be held in India next October-November. Before that, the Asia Cup is supposed to be held in Pakistan. But the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) is reluctant to send a team to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup due to political animosity. The hybrid model was discussed to solve this crisis. According to the hybrid model, the Asia Cup will be held in Pakistan but India’s matches will be played at a neutral venue.

Recently, it was said in a report that like the Asia Cup, the 2023 World Cup could also be held in a hybrid model. In that case, Pakistan will play its World Cup matches in Bangladesh. In an informal discussion at the last ICC meeting in Dubai, PCB proposed to host Pakistan’s World Cup match in Bangladesh or some other neutral venue.
