Nurul Hasan is the captain of Rangpur Riders

This year’s edition of The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will start on January 6. Rangpur Riders are one of the favorites in this seven-team tournament. Nurul Hasan Sohan, the vice-captain of Bangladesh’s T20 team, will lead the team in the tournament.
Rangpur Riders started training at Bashundhara Sports Complex on Sunday ahead of the BPL.

On the same day, the franchise officially announced Sohan as the captain. Chattogram Challengers will take on Sylhet Strikers on the tournament’s opening day at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Rangpur Riders will take on Comilla Victorians in the evening.

The tournament started on January 6 and will continue till February 16. The champion team of this year’s tournament will get two crores, while the runner-up team will get one crore. Ismail Haider Mallik, member secretary of the BPL Governing Council, said there is a possibility of a cash prize of Tk 10 lakh for the tournament’s best player.
