New Zealand won by 1 run in a thrilling match

The fifth day of the Wellington Test ended in drama and excitement. Joe Root took the lead on the fifth wicket and showed England the way to victory. Then the rhythm again. In the end, the New Zealand bowlers were overwhelmed by the patience and confidence of the Englishmen. New Zealand won by 1 run on the fifth day of the second Test of the series on Tuesday (February 28). With a target of 258 runs, England’s innings stopped at 256 runs. The English needed 210 runs to win on the final day. Had 9 wickets in hand. Ben Duckett and Ollie Robinson came to the crease with the bat.

The match was largely lost to the Kiwis. But the Kiwi bowlers continued their last effort with an indomitable mental will.
