Mumbai chased 215 runs with 7 balls to spare

Chasing the target of 215 runs, Mumbai lost Rohit in the third ball. The captain returned to the dressing room without scoring any runs. Ishan Kishan and Cameron Green scored quick runs for the second wicket. Green got out after scoring 23 runs off 18 balls but Ishan was steadfast. Suryakumar Yadav made a partnership of 116 runs for the third wicket. Mumbai scored 170 when Surya got out after playing a brilliant innings of 66 runs. Ishan got out in the next over. But by that time the victory was in the hands of Rohit. Tilak Verma did the rest with Team David. David was unbeaten on 19 and Tilak on 26.
Earlier, Punjab did not get off to a good start after losing the toss and batting. Prabhasimran Singh returns for 9 runs. 30 runs off 20 balls from skipper Dhawan’s bat. Matthew Short scored 27 runs off 26 balls. Jitesh Sharma and Liam Livingstone then put Punjab in a strong position. Jitesh-Livingstone made a pair of 119 runs by comparing Mumbai bowlers. Livingstone was unbeaten in the end after scoring 82 runs off 42 balls. 49 runs came from Jitesh’s bat.
