Mashrafe said ‘no’ to Gautam Gambhir

The news till Saturday was that former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza got the chance to play in the second season of Legends League Cricket (LLC). He was picked up by India Capitals from the draft.

According to many, Mashrafe, who last played for the national team in March 2020, is yet to officially retire. This may also be a reason for not wanting to play in the former team. Meanwhile, Sourav Ganguly was supposed to lead Maharaj in Legends League, but he is also not playing due to personal reasons. This is known from the reports published in the Indian press.

Incidentally, the tournament is going to be held for the second time with former cricketers. The League of Legends will be screened on September 17 and will continue till October 8. The game will be played in six cities in India. There will be a total of 15 matches in this competition of the four-team franchise league.

The 22-day league will be organized in Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi, Jodhpur, Cuttack, and Rajkot.
