The upcoming fourth edition of LPL 2023 holds great promise as all five teams have significantly strengthened their squads, aiming for a triumphant season. The third match of the tournament will see B-Love Kandy (KA) facing off against Colombo Strikers (CS). In the previous edition, the franchise from Colombo narrowly missed out on victory, falling to Jaffna Kings by two wickets with four balls remaining.

Under new owners, KA is eager to begin the campaign on a solid note. Their leadership role is entrusted to the talismanic Sri Lankan spinner, Wanindu Hasaranga. The team boasts a blend of experienced Sri Lankan cricketers like Dushmantha Chameera, Angelo Mathews, and Dinesh Chandimal, alongside valuable foreign players such as Fakhar Zaman and Mujeeb-ur-Rahman.

On the other hand, CS will be guided by Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam. The team’s lineup features seasoned international cricketers like Niroshan Dickwella, Iftikhar Ahmed, Wahab Riaz, and Chamika Karunaratne, all looking to make a significant impact for the side. CS also possesses a pool of promising young talents in their ranks, including Matheesha Pathirana, Naseem Shah, and Pathum Nissanka.
