

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal has been out of the national team for almost five years. This time he has announced goodbye to all forms of cricket. Kamran Akmal has said that he will not play domestic cricket again.
Even after retiring from the game, he is associated with cricket. Akmal will work as the batting consultant of the Pakistan Super League franchise Peshawar Zalmi.
Announcing his decision to retire from all forms of cricket, the 41-year-old said, “The Pakistan Cricket Board has given me a special responsibility. After that, there is no point in me continuing to play. If I get time after handling my responsibilities properly, I can play in small leagues too much.
The wicketkeeper-batsman thanked all concerned for his cricketing career. Recently, the Pakistan Cricket Board has given him the responsibility of national selector.
Akmal made his international debut for Pakistan in 2002. He last played for the country in 2017. Kamran Akmal has played 53 Tests, 157 ODIs, and 58 T20Is for Pakistan.
