India is number one in all three editions

India is now the number-one team in the world in all three editions of men’s international cricket. Rohit Sharma’s team was at the top of the ICC ODI and T20 rankings. India (115) made history by topping Australia (111) in the latest Test rankings published on Wednesday. This is the first time they have topped the rankings in three editions at the same time.

India achieved this feat by defeating Austria by innings in the first Test of the four-match series in Nagpur. The three heroes of Dapute Joy also received awards. Ravichandran Ashwin, who took eight wickets in two innings, has moved up two steps in ranking Test bowlers. After 2017, this off-spinner is facing the challenge of climbing back to the top. The gap between Australia captain Pat Cummins’s (867) and Ashwin’s (846) rating points is only 21.

Another Indian spinning all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja played superb innings of 70 runs in addition to taking seven wickets with the ball in his return from injury. In addition to strengthening the top position in the all-rounders ranking in this performance, Zabeda has risen to number 16 in the list of bowlers. Indian captain Rohit Sharma (8) advanced two steps in the list of batsmen due to the century.
