I don’t want anyone’s sympathy: Muneem Shahriar

Convinced to return to the national team with qualifications, Muneem said that he does not need any sympathy from anyone. Muneem wrote on his official page on Facebook – ‘I don’t want anyone’s sympathy. But I will fly again. Maybe today or tomorrow or the day after tomorrow or the day after that. Only I and my God know where I have been.’
He added, “It doesn’t matter whether anyone knows about me or not. But I hope one day everyone will see that I can. In sha Allah I will turn around soon.â€?/p>

Muneem scored 178 runs with 152 strike rates after playing only 6 innings in the last BPL. Muneem also scored 355 runs with 143 strike rates in Dhaka Premier League in the 2021 T20 format. He got the opportunity to play for the national team for the first time in the T20 series against Afghanistan in March this year. After that, he was allowed to tour West Indies and Zimbabwe.
But despite getting a chance in three series, he could not show anything worth mentioning. Muneem collected only 34 runs in only 72 strike rates in five matches.

The 24-year-old opener could not reach double figures in the three matches of the tour of West Indies and Zimbabwe.
