Home series against Afghanistan itinerary confirmed by BCB

The series will take place in two phases, with the Afghans arriving in Dhaka on June 10 to play the only Test in Mirpur from June 14-18. The series will break for Eid-ul-Azha, during which Afghanistan will travel to India to play three ODIs against the hosts. Afghanistan will return to Bangladesh on July 1 to complete the series, playing three ODIs scheduled to be held in Chittagong on July 5, 8, and 11, respectively.
After winning their last World Cup Super League series against Ireland 2-0, the Bangladesh cricket team has returned to Dhaka, with some players like captain Tamim Iqbal, Shakib al Hasan, and Liton Das staying back in England for leisure. The team finished the Super League cycle with 15 wins in 24 matches, having lost eight and one game being washed out, placing them at No. 3 in the Super League standings with 155 points, the same as second-placed England.
However, England is currently ahead of Bangladesh based on net run-rate. The team will now take a two-week break and regroup in the first week of June to prepare for the upcoming series against Afghanistan. The series will feature one Test match, three ODIs, and two T20Is, with the matches being played in Dhaka and Chittagong, and the T20Is taking place in Sylhet on July 14 and 16.
