According to reports from Cricinfo, Ahmedabad will play host to the highly anticipated India-Pakistan encounter on October 15 during the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup. The tournament will kick off with a match between the 2019 World Cup finalists, England and New Zealand, on October 5.

As per the draft schedule shared by the BCCI with the ICC and participating countries for feedback, Bangladesh is slated to face India on October 17 in Pune, while their match against Pakistan is scheduled for October 31. However, the specific venues for the semi-finals, set to take place on November 15 and 16, were not mentioned in the draft schedule. The grand finale is scheduled for November 19 in Ahmedabad, the same venue that will host the opening game.

While the official fixtures for the ODI World Cup are yet to be announced by the ICC, it is worth noting that the schedule for the last two World Cups was revealed over a year in advance.
