Despite the match being rescheduled to the reserve day, the Indian team maintained their focus and determination throughout. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli both notched up centuries, while Kuldeep Yadav’s remarkable 5-wicket haul left the Pakistan team in disarray. Following this memorable victory, the Indian players celebrated by enjoying some leisure time in a swimming pool.

A video shared on social media by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) captured the joyful moments as Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and other team members relaxed in the hotel’s swimming pool. In a lighthearted moment, Kohli, Rohit, and Jadeja even showcased their dancing skills while in the pool, adding a fun and spirited touch to the celebration.

A Memorable Performance

The Indian team’s performance in this match is sure to be etched in cricketing history. The top four batters in the team all scored more than 50 runs, and the bowling unit effectively restricted Pakistan to just 128 runs while chasing a target of 257.

Rohit Sharma's Words of Appreciation

After the game, India’s captain Rohit Sharma expressed his admiration for the entire team’s performance, with special mention for KL Rahul, Rohit himself, and Kuldeep Yadav. He commended the team’s efforts and approach throughout the match, especially acknowledging the patience shown by the experienced batters, Kohli and Rahul.

Regarding Jasprit Bumrah’s performance, Rohit noted: “Looked good, he swung it both ways and he’s worked really hard for the last 8-10 months. Bumrah is only 27, for him to miss games isn’t ideal but the way he bowled showed what he is all about.”

Reflecting on the batting display, Rohit highlighted the many positives, including the strong performance of the openers, as well as the well-paced innings by Virat Kohli. He also praised KL Rahul’s remarkable comeback from injury and his impressive mindset, especially given the last-minute decision for him to play in the match.
