Anamul Haque returned to the Test team after 8 years

After 8 long years, wicketkeeper-batsman Anamul Haque Vijay has been called up to the Test team again. The batter had previously played his last Test against the West Indies in 2014. That’s against the West Indies again. Yasir Ali Rabbi has been ruled out of the Caribbean tour due to a back injury. Anamul Haque was called in his place.

The right-handed batter, who made his debut in 2013, has played only four Tests. He scored 73 runs. Anamul was already in the ODI and T20i squads against the Caribbeans. He wasn’t on the Test team. This time he also got a chance when the rabbi was knocked out. However, he will not be able to stay in the Test starting in Antigua on Thursday. It is to be noted that Rabbi suffered a back injury on the first day of the preparatory match against the West Indies Cricket Board President’s XI. After the scan, it was found that there was a crack under his spine. As a result, he was dropped from the series.
